Barron Maskew is a full-time designer, educator and consultant with over 10 years of experience teaching, writing and designing for marching arts programs.

He currently serves on the visual staff of the Open Class World Champion Drum & Bugle Corps, The Spartans. He has also served on the instructional staffs of Spirit of Atlanta, The Guardians, Carolina Gold, and Midas Winds.

Previously, Barron was the band director at Parkville High School in Maryland and Hickory High School and Middle School in Virginia. Under his direction, the marching and concert bands consistently received superior ratings at marching and concert state festivals.

Barron earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. His graduate work include an emphasis on conducting.
